When you're crazy enough to believe that you can launch a new television network in a couple of weeks, then you better get some help. "I'm in the production business." says Donald Smith, a partner in the Myrtle Beach Television Network. Smith adds, "I make television shows. I leave a lot of the technical stuff to someone else." It was starting to look like Banana Jack Murphy, another partner in this video enterprise was going to have to take the lead on getting the new network off the ground.
"I did a lot of research on what companies like Roku, Google TV and Apple TV have been doing in the field of over-the-top webcasting. I knew at some point I'd be invloved in that field." says Banana Jack Murphy.
Over-The-Top devices allow consumers to view streaming video on their televisions. Popular video services like Netflix and Hulu are reaping the benefits of more and more people watching online content on their tv sets. As more and more of these devices are sold, the demand for more programming choices will grow as well. That's where Myrtle Beach Video Network comes in.
Murphy, who is already streaming video on his Tiger TV (http://www.mytigertv.com/) knew that the transisition to over-top-top streaming would be labor intensive. "As a business owner, I know that time is money. It just made more sense to me to hire someone who has more experience in building an OTT portal. After extensive due dilligence, I recommended Frontlayer Technologies to my partners.", states Murphy.
The partners in Myrtle Beach Video Network had confidence in Murphy's decision. Frontlayer's staff of video experts have already started on the creation of Myrtle Beach Video Network.
It's going to be exciting to watch.
